The European Public Health Association (EUPHA), the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) and the Malta Association of Public Health Medicine (MAPHM) are pleased to invite you to the 5th joint conference combining the 20th annual EUPHA meeting and 34th annual ASPHER meeting. 

The European Public Health Conference aims to contribute to the improvement of public health in Europe by offering a means for exchanging information and a platform for debate to researchers, policy makers, and practitioners in the field of public health and health services research as well as public health training and education in Europe.

4th Conference on Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health in Europe

The European Public Health Association - EUPHA, the CERGAS and Carlo F. Dondena Research Centres at Università Bocconi are pleased to present the 4th Conference on Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health in Europe to be held in Milan (21-23 June 2012).

The Conference - whose motto is Facts beyond Figures: Communi-Care for Migrants - is the ideal forum for researchers, professionals and managers from the Health Sector, Public Administration, Private Sectors and Non-Profit Organisations from European and Mediterranean Countries.

The main target of the three-day meeting is to compare scientific results and foster best practices to counteract possible disadvantages of migrants and foreign citizens as to their health conditions and access to health services.

Introducing RomaHealthNetwork

RomaHealthNetwork is a web-based, virtual network supported by the Open Society Institute's Public Health Program – Roma Health Project, which aims to advance the health and human rights of marginalized persons by building the capacity of civil society leaders and organizations, furthermore the Program advocate for accountability and a strong civil society role in health policy and practice.

Main objective of the RomaHealthNetwork is to provide an internet-based forum which can serve as an online scientific platform for organizations (Academic and Scientific Institutions, researchers' groups, NGOs, etc.) who are engaged in Roma health-related activities and researches.

RomaHealthNetwork is a versatile initiate which unites several functions in one hand. It provides
• moderated forum serving as basis for turning the networking into living cooperation,
• structured database providing regular, updated literature review and
• basis for follow-up events related to Roma health, and
• will give the possibility in finding partners and encourage them for launching new joint researches and activities.

Hopefully, RomaHealthNetwork will inspire you and other actors to join and expand RomaHealthNetwork in order to achieve its mission for the interest of the health improvement of Roma people on individual as well as on community level.
